Not excited to be back at work this week? Let’s change that!

Did you wake up on the 2nd of January excited to go back to work?

When your alarm went off, did you think ‘I am pumped to get out of bed and start the working year!’?

If the answer is no, I’ve go some crazy news for you.

There are people for whom this WAS the experience on the 2nd of Jan.

There are people who love what they do so much, they were excited to get 2024 going.

If you have never had a job like this, I can imagine you think I’m lying. I get it. It sounds insane.

But it is true.

Not only have I experienced this myself whilst working at Nike and Apple, but I also have 100’s of clients who have found jobs they love.

If you want this to be you on the 2nd of Jan 2025, here are 3 steps you can take NOW to make that happen.

1. Reflect

Finding the perfect role is not about who is hiring on Linkedin today. It is about understanding yourself deeply and knowing what motivates you, what your values are, what environments you perform at your best in - all the deep introspective stuff.

Once you know all this, it is much easier to identify the roles you’ll be excited to get out of bed for. Without this step, you are likely to end up in a job you hate or worse, are content with!

2. Refine

Once you know intrinsically what you need from your next role, you need to overlay that with your understanding of your industry (in my case, the Creative and Tech industries) and the job opportunities that are aligned to the work you did in Step 1.

Then you refine all this information down into a plan with a clear strategy and action plan for your job hunt.

3. Result

Now you have a plan based on who you are and what you need (not who is hiring on Linkedin), its time to execute against that plan like your career depends on it!
