Here’s the scenario:
You’ve got a big campaign launch.
It’s 6 months away.
But it’s really important that you absolutely nail this campaign.
What steps do you take to ensure that the outcome of the campaign is nothing but wild success?
🤔 Would you wait for 5 months, doing nothing and then suddenly go crazy a month out from the launch, booking media and spending money as quickly as possible?
🤔 Would you get your budget and then just start allocating it with no thought behind the best channels to spend?
🤔 Would you make decisions about the creative without thinking about the customer, the timing or messaging?
No?
Of course wouldn’t!
No self-respecting Marketer would go into a massive campaign launch without first preparing by:
✅ Going deep on the customers insights, the data, the seasonality and the purchasing behaviours (amongst all other information available)
✅ Making a plan informed by the above information
So…. why are so many of you doing this with your job hunt?!
Finding your Dream Job is a 3 step process. Just like launching a campaign.
It’s the EXACT same steps.

1.REFLECT - Go deep on insights. Understand the customer (you!). Choose the timing. Analyse the data. Know yourself well enough to know what you are actually looking for.
2. REFINE - Make a plan informed by the above - take what you know about yourself and overlay it with what you know about our industry
3.RESULT - Launch your campaign (your job hunt) with deep insights and a strong plan, so that the outcome of your job hunt is nothing but wild success
A campaign would never be successful if you just started launching the campaign without insights or a plan.
And your job hunt is the same.
Yet most people start applying for jobs, with no awareness of what they actually want and no plan to make their job hunt successful.
And then when the results they get are sh*t, they give up and blame the system.
