A special gift for you. Because it's Christmas.
Dec 22, 2022It’s the final week of the year for so many of us!
Yipee!
December is one of my favourite months.
I typically head back to the Southern Hemisphere to spend the Christmas break with my family and enjoy the sunshine!
And since many people start winding down as soon as the clock ticks over to the 1st of December, it’s the perfect month reflect on the year.
Reflection Exercise
For me, a Reflection exercise is the perfect way to prepare for the next year and start the thinking towards goal setting.
What I have found in the past is that most people set goals based on what they THINK they should be achieving as opposed to what is really important to them.
And for me this where my December Reflection Exercise comes in.
This exercise involves asking myself a series of deep, thought provoking questions about the year that has just passed.
By answering these questions before setting any goals, I am able to establish what was REALLY important to me and set goals based on this, instead of what I think was important.
An example of such a question would be:
What is the thing you are most proud this year?
In 2022 my answer to that question was ‘the success of my clients’. Nothing bought me greater joy professionally than seeing my clients achieve their career goals.
And because of that realisation, I have set a goal to make improvements to my Creative Career Level Up Programme so I can help my clients achieve even more success!
I ran this Reflection Exercise with my Creative Career Level Up clients earlier this month on our Monthly Motivation webinar - and it was a big hit!
So as a thank you for being a subscriber to my newsletter, I want to share the session with you as well.
As a gift.
Because it’s Christmas.
Below is a link to the session, where you can work through your own Reflection.

And if you watch out for my first newsletter in January, I will share ANOTHER session with you, showing how to actually set those goals once you have reflected.
Thank you for all your support this year.
Happy holidays to you and your families.
And I look forward to seeing you all in 2023.
I help people in the Marketing and Creative and Tech Industries to find their next perfect role.
